New London Singers are always keen to hear from committed, experienced singers who would like to join the Choir. We are a friendly, welcoming choir so please get in touch below if you would like more information, try out a rehearsal, or audition.
Rehearsals are from 7:00pm to 9:15pm on Tuesday evenings in Central London. We seek singers who are passionate about choral excellence and committed to making our choir shine. This means attending our weekly Tuesday evening rehearsals and being available for exciting performance opportunities throughout the year.
Experience
We’re looking for accomplished singers with a strong foundation in choral singing. Prior experience in chamber choirs is a plus, but a commitment to honing your choral skills is essential.
Cost of membership
While choir participation is supported by member contributions to cover rehearsal costs and music, we believe financial limitations shouldn’t hold anyone back. We offer flexible options to ensure anyone can join our choir regardless of their financial situation.
Auditions
At your audition, you’ll have the chance to shine in four ways:
- Vocal Warm-up Exercises: Some simple exercises to explore your vocal range and technique
- Solo Performance: Prepare a short, unaccompanied piece that highlights your vocal strengths. Arias, oratorios, or art songs are all great choices
- Prepared Choral Piece: We will send you a piece in advance, and ask you to sing your part to us
- Sight-reading: A short sight-reading exercise
If you would like to audition, please submit your interest below and we will contact you.
